Matin Hashemi (1998, Iran - Tabriz) is a social documentary photographer and photography instructor whose work focuses on visual narratives of everyday life and human experiences in a social context. He began photography at the age of 19 and completed his studies in the fields of multimedia and computer arts at the Islamic Art University of Tabriz. His works, with a narrative-oriented and sensitive approach to detail, move between documentary and personal expression, and strive to go beyond the level of event recording and approach the inner layers of human life. He holds a 2nd degree in art in social documentary photography from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Iran. Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards and grants, including the CORTONA Grant, DPPF Grant, COPY, LensCulture, Stenin Photo Award, and more. Hashemi has collaborated with local and international media and agencies as a freelance photographer, and is currently engaged in documentary film production alongside photography.
