Waiting for Evžen

I spotted Evžen in the restaurant at Dejvice station. He caught my attention immediately – with his appearance and behavior. I wanted to get to know him and take his picture. He refused. I returned the next day – another refusal. On the third day, he didn't show up. I started returning to the station pub. And I still go back. I'm still looking for him. In the meantime, I started getting to know his friends – the people who regularly visit the station pub. They accepted me into their circle, invited me to their homes, and let me be part of their everyday lives. This collection is a personal document about waiting and longing, which have since been filled with different content. About the quiet changes that occur when we decide to stay. It is not a portrait of one man. It is a story of unfulfillment, which does not only concern the one I was looking for.
