About Jacqui Browning

(b.1968) I am a fine art photographer currently based in Cambridge, United Kingdom. Working predominantly with analogue, I combine traditional and alternative methods, complementing the slow and immersive approach I take to making work.

I take a mindful approach to my work by immersing myself in nature for long periods of time, providing me the personal space I desire; a form of meditation and a way of reconnecting to what matters. My images are poetic, to symbolise a place we cannot see, a place of reflection, inviting the viewer to engage in the quiet stillness and compassion I feel towards the natural world. Interacting with nature makes us feel good and provides many ways in which to heal and restore. The current climate crisis we are living through is another element to my work; respecting Mother Nature’s beauty and strength I highlight the importance of protecting the natural world. The world we have become very disconnected from.

My work has been exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition, London. I have a First Class Honours Bachelor of Arts in photography from the University of Westminster, London, UK.
