Darhad Valley People

Since 2007, I have been documenting the Darhad Valley in Mongolia with photos and videos. Extensive travel through the socially and geographically isolated Darkhad Valley between the borders of Mongolia and Russia, the mystical taiga forests and the Bayan Mountains, the problem of physical, social and spiritual isolation of the Darhad nomads and their surrounding environment. In 2006, I first traveled to Mongolia's Darhad Valley and went on to travel thousands of kilometers exploring the entire region of Mongolia. My purpose was to photograph the life and traditions of nomadic peoples all over the world. “My interest was to know who these Darhad people were. I was interested in them and wanted to show their specific culture and life. I decided to tour the entire continent of this country (Mongolia). Another was because of the fancy name NOMAD (Nomads). I wanted to be with nomads. I wanted to create an opportunity to ask fundamental questions about the relationship between humans and nature and life in harmony with nature and tradition.
