Looking for a single representative photograph I´ve decided on this portrait of Bebo Valdés. It was a summer day in Benalmádena. It coincided that in my mother's house, where the photo was taken, a pianist and a music producer were invited. We had a good time preparing the set and Bebo had a wonderful day singing and laughing. While we were making this portrait, he confessed to me that he wanted to retire because he had lapses at concerts. He died a few months later ... possibly this is one of his last photos.
