In the summer of the holy year 2010, I photographed the Camino. Given the popularity of the Camino Francés, I chose to start at the end point: Finesterre (Es). With the sun in my back I walked towards the pilgrims and followed the yellow arrows to the foot of the Pyrenees in Saint Jean Pied de Port (Fr). I photographed pilgrims who were suffering in the hot sun, queuing at a stamping post, special encounters along the way, but also the 'other side of the route': the tourists in Santiago de Compostela and Finesterre, the tomb of a pilgrim and packed refugio's. Moreover, I not only portrayed the pilgrims, but also the people who work in the 'industry' behind the route. I distinguishes the situations I find by the use of light, colour and postures that people adopt.
