Nicholas Nixon: Photographs from One Year (Untitled, No. 31)
by Nicholas Nixon
Publisher's Description
Published as issue #31 of the Friends of Photography's Untitled series, this monograph reproduces work commissioned by Boston's Institute of Contemporary Art. In a one year period, Nixon has produced a rich body of informal portraits using an 8x10 view camera. His frames are densely packed with people of all ages, usually from poorer communities. His use of the 8x10 in a spontaneous manner approaches virtuoso standards. Beautifully printed by Gardner/Fulmer.
